Moving in
Moving in
(2/13)
Flora has found the best place in the house. The kitchen walls since that don't go all the way to the ceiling. Hubs joined her up there. TV is still on the floor as we have yet to find a TV stand we can agree on. Spices are finding their new home in the cabinets.
School room is slowly coming together

Our Closing in photo's
Our Closing day in Photos
Closing happened so fast as in we found out that we were closing the night before that there was a good chance to close that Friday. We knew for sure Friday morning when we did our final walk through.
As we waited for everything to be finished we sat here with butterflies in the gut. So what else do you do but snapping photo's.
Welcome home M. Family!!!
New house Tour
As you all know we Moved in February. With the move and homeschooling I have had NO time for the blog. As our homeschool year is wrapping up and we've been here for almost 2 months and things are finally settling down.
Lets get down to the tour
Row 1: Our garage and sidewalk to our screened in front porch. Front of the house. Love the little details like this window combo to give the roof line some dimension.
Row 2: Our front door (Not in love with) Our living room entry way and coat closet. 3rd photo is the Hall way Lien closet.
Row 4: Master Bathroom with a HUGE walk in shower. Love this, family room that is being used for our school room. 3rd Picture is the kids/guest bathroom. It's a little yellow from the lighting.
it's a 3/2/2 1500sqft house not including our just under 500sqft garage. With Citrus fruit trees :o)
Well that is our house. Stay tuned as we move in and make this house our HOME.

We've Moved
Wow! It has happened we've finally moved into our new house. Isaac and I have worked so hard to make the dream of being home owners a reality. Closing was amazing. It was quick and so amazing. The nerves didn't hit until I was about to step into the escrow office to sign papers.
Our awesome Realtor was there to hold our hands..Ha! No we just all joked around for the most part. As I stated before closing went fast and guess who forgot to take a picture of the signing paper work. Yeah, that's right I did. Oops but we rushed to the CB house to grab our dogs and head to the new house for the night.
Oh yes we did. We had KFC for dinner on the floor of our new living room watching wreck it Ralph. Come bedtime we all crashed on the floor in the master bedroom. We all had such a rush all day that we were out by 10.
Kayden's first time riding in a big truck and 1st move that he remembers.
Stay tuned for more house updates

The Best email ever
"I wanted to let you know we received loan approval from the lender late Friday! Your loan is approved with the lender, which is great news! And Even better, they are not asking for any additional information from you! " Sent to us from our broker
I read this first thing this morning, and the first thing I did was text hubs to call me. K happened to walk to into the room and he said "WHAT" I guess he knew something was up. I told him and he got the biggest smile ever and gave me the biggest HUG ever. He's excited to get a bigger house that we can start our adoption journey in. He than went running around the house laughing. Hubs called and I got to share the news with him. I could hear his huge smile over the phone.
The family is excited and now we are just waiting to schedule our closing date. Sooner than later at this point. Can't wait to move in and start the journey of making our new house our home :o)

Boxes Boxes and more Boxes
The Packing has started as we have FOUND a house.
I will show the house once we have the keys in hand. After losing a house due to Seller backing out, Losing to a cash offer, to a bad realtor practice (not ours) and another seller who just really didn't know what she wanted (house on the market 500 plus days) Yikes and I thought our job of finding a house was hard. We are just keeping it under wraps for a little while.
Kayden has been to the house and he approves! He's one excited kiddo as we get ready to leave the only house he remembers (12M-8yr)
Kaydens room is one of our staging areas for boxes as his room will be the last to be painted back to dreadful basic white. The green things on the walls are labels. I know! Who does that? Yes we can say a little OCD here. Ha, it keeps me sane to have order esp in this major stressful event.
The master is coming apart. I mean literally. Look under that window shaker A/C unit. This house has so much settling happening and when the A/C broke 2 summers ago it all got wet. Well, the plaster is OLD and was wet so it's just crumbling. EWWWW! Yes I painted around the area that needed fixed with plans to paint when it was done. Looks like that is NOT happening now.
Our love seat is covered in framed photo's, which all need to be wrapped and packed up. For now this works as they will be some of the last things in the moving truck so they will be the first things out of the truck.
Kaydens count down for the move. Can you see that we had to extend the dates from the 1st house to the house that we picked.
Yes this house was the 5th house but it's by far our favorite of the 5 we thought we loved. This house is move in ready. Not saying we aren't going to do anything but not right away as we want to settle a little and feel the flow pattern before we do much. There is only 1 thing that will happen right away but again will share that juicy details later once we have the keys in hand

My workout shoes..Nike+
Theses are the best. I am hooked with being able to listen to music or even a good book while I walk or jog.
The new year or not I am hooked with at least getting 30min's or me time and my shoes. Yes I love my shoes and all that they can do. Now don't get me wrong they don't exercise for me or making me go faster but they are AWESOME.
So I have Nike+ shoes so they have a little chip in the sole of my shoe that talks to my Ipod. There is an small adapter that I forgot in the photo that you have to use so that the chip can talk to the Ipod. With this chip it can tell me how fast I'm going by my paces and my miles. Yes tells you if you only go 200ft. Or you can use the basic and count your steps. I've been using the Ipod for nearly 3 years now and the chip-set and these shoes for just over a year. Yes I know these shoes are not beat up for being over a year old, but a lot of crud made it that working out was hard for a few months. Glad to be back to pounding the pavement.
Let me show you the shoe
You need to get Nike + shoes for the chip-set to really work. I hear there is something you can put on your shoe strings. My OCD wouldn't let that happen but if it doesn't matter to you might be a cheaper option for you. My shoes were about $100
This is the small chip and it's in the sole. You wont feel it at all

Indoor Christmas Decor
I don't have a ton of space in our tiny tiny house so these are my displays for the season. Next year I hope I get that new house for Christmas with more space to decorate.
I started my Nativity last year and I am in LOVE with this collection
Willow Tree
He's our tree this year nothing fancy. These are our whimsical tree ornaments which I plan to put on a white tree once I have a place to put a white tree. YES, I will be the person with a few trees. Just love the idea of different theme trees through out the house. Oh I am excited just thinking about it
This is our mini frame tree. As you can see I have yet to fill all the frames yet.
Well this is our living room as of now.
Seasons Greetings!!!!!

What we've done today
We woke up to RAIN this morning. It drizzled until after lunch. K put on his rain boots and grabbed his umbrella and went out for a good stomp in the puddles. Once he came in and got dry we started with school with some 4 leaf clover making with paint.
K had so much fun making shamrocks that he ended up painting for an hour. We did our school lessons for the day.
I then did some house cleaning mainly vacuuming up the small dog our dog leaves behind every time she lays on the rug. Love her but I could do without the fur all over the carpet. K and I we're training miss Bella (our dog) when we say Pillow to go to her pillow and lay down. She's really smart so it wont take her to long to get it. We say Night night and she goes to her night bed. So cute if you ask me.
Made dinner of seasoned potato half's (small) peas and hamburger helper (it's not a normal thing in the house so sorta a treat for me..LOL)
And for dessert we're going to have the cake that K made by himself yesterday. I only helped with the oven and frosting. YUM
super annoyed with someone in the house (Hubby's) not listening to me when I tell him that we don't have any Drano stuff..AHHHH he's still searching. in a way it's funny as I am the one who buys all cleaning supplies and also the one who use the cleaning supplies.
I just sent my little man off to go to his work desk to do his homework so I have some free time to blog and sit down.

2011 Resolutions
This year is a big year for our family but for me in general I have a few resolutions that I pray to complete this year.
#1. My biggest one for the year is to read the Bible from cover to cover. Yes you heard me right the WHOLE bible. I want to know the WHOLE story not only bits and pieces of the story. I have already started the reading and I'm hooked. Now there are some really hard parts for me to muster through as of right now I don't get it. I am talking about the whole chapters on son of this person had these sons and those sons had those sons. Yes the family tree part and that's not bad it's trying to figure out some of the names and how to say them. Having a hard time with that even in my head....I tell ya they didn't make phonic names :o)
#2. I am also trying to read 15 books this year. For some that's not much but coming up with the time is hard. So for me I am having to teach myself to take that 3o-1hr for my self to sit down and enjoy some light hearted reading. As of today I have finished 1 book and I'll blog about the book in a few days. Awesome book about an adoption.
#3. eat breakfast...yeah another one of those things that I believe most do but not something I do all that often. Now it's not just to eat breakfast but to make healthy breakfast for both K and I to enjoy for we start school. So often I will make K food and me go without just because I would rather not eat as I'm not all that hungry. But, I am making myself eat on most mornings and it's been nice to sit down with K and small talk over things like oatmeal, quinoa some fruit and a glass of OJ.
#4. get our coupon binder going this year..yeah this has been something I've been wanting to do for a while so that I can keep coupon nice so that I will use them more....who doesn't like extra money in their pockets....
#5. Walk in a marathon just to do it.....Looking for a family one so that we can all do it together. we are already training..At least K and I are and he's making the 16 min mile (15min) and we have some time to keep training..he's trying to get to 14 min mile
off to get working on my resolutions

his and her's gifts to each other..Christmas 2010
Well Hubs and I gave each other some pretty awesome gifts this year. I have been wanting to start my fiesta ware collection for some time and this year I was blessed with some new plates and bowls. I am one lucky gal :o)

I pulled off the biggest surprise of the year with Hubs New coffee maker. Our little Santa's helper tried to give hubs and gift which would of given away the gift so I had to jump up and say NO this one..Wish I would of taken a photo of his smile when he saw what was in the BIG box that he thought was for the little man....I am stoked that I pulled it off I'm not good at keeping secrets of this kind.
